Addictions and Disordered Eating

The same feelings of isolation, feeling ‘less than’ or feeling worthless drive both addiction and eating disorders.  With food and eating, the traditional abstinence methods are impossible.  You need to eat.  Your body is not a disease.  It is not your fault.

I can help you develop a healthy relationship to food. Often, through the process of working with my clients, we discover that their challenges with food arose first and subsequently developed into substance disorders. Once the addiction has been addressed, the difficulties with food and their body rise to the fore once again.  You are not alone in this struggle. Rebuilding your sense of self worth will help you heal your relationship to food and help you with your recovery in all areas.
